Nighttime beauty--stars bright, a balmy breeze these one miss when upset. When forgotten: "Do not let the sun set

while you are still angry". An occurrence rising a fire in one's bosom
seeding vengeance; yes, a soul heated, not at ease

does not our Grand Creator please

since hatred,
irritation held/cultivated,
sadly begets

dousing peace, joy, love for one's brother with petty or toxic combustibles from Satan

designed to destroy, to unity explode

creates an atmosphere of distrust, disloyalty, to always suspect. 

Unloaded, true kindness and wisdom at the end of your patience road. Blocked: God's spirit blossoming brotherly affection, a bouquet presented with ribbons of gold.

Remember, "A calm heart gives life to the body" thus good health projects. From blood pressure, respiratory trouble, asthma, hives, ulcers plus other bad effects forgiveness may protect

if only we obey God's loving command:
"Not to let the sun set."

Brooklyn, New York

Today,
in my mind's eye

as I lounge on verdant
rooftop patio grounds

for day's hectic end

peaceful

atop a lovely building
feeling a balmy breeze

Columbia Heights centered
amid a century of renovated cement

worth every valued dollar spent

stationary I'll stay
temporarily

keeping vast crowds
at bay,

a Hudson River sways
river taxis

never hackneys
transporting people to Pier 17

colorful in hue and nationalities
visiting Manhattan from Brooklyn

tourists
seeing through both bridges
a horizon's glorious setting sun

holding steady
despite alternating
heady to pleasant
winds

ones
limping old to skipping young

exiting simple homes,
ancient apartments,
new condos

to unitedly play

prayerfully,
not been slain

lain
under muted skies

as nearby
on playgrounds gated
babies giggle, laugh then cry
when nannies
to them do kiss
goodbye

as pigeons coo
or suddenly fly

through tunnels
many parents, students
head home

in haste

among 'homeless'
stagnant in waste

while brakes screech
shaking nervous first time riders
squeamish

although,
conductors shout destinations
already painted on some dark stained walls

calling artists as canvases
to spray-paint
masterpieces of 'art'
or just plain graffiti

gang related

or R.I.P shout-outs
for the famous for a second

or not at all

with advertisements 
to scream:

"This City Never Sleeps!
Let's Have a Ball!"

Manhattan

Chinatown

at 'Little Italy's'
outside cafes not malls
peaked with congestion

still
meshing
of bodies and scents
on dirty streets

with thievery
on minds
bent

family or foreign motorists
careening to stop
for vendors sent
to visitors convince

"stream with me to where

'wares'
imitating originals
abide"

hidden

in the masses
peddlers of these
do peep then hide

not wanting with officers
'made aware' to collide.

Ah! ...

Yes, I remember New York,
New York! across from our Promenade--
no place to deride.

But, parades for any type
of unmasked charade are in this district
not really forbade

yet across the water
barriers yellow wood are laid

for festivities annual
bicycles, marathons
made.

Heightened your senses
for an energetic, maybe even cataclysmic
ride as when I saw 9/11's tragedy

rocking the world

mangled our emotions

garbled our voices
like marbles cracked

swallowed

cutting horribly inside.

Yet,

still I house
pleasant memories
of life as a volunteer

years there where
thousands of Bethelites
from the world over

till only recently
resided.
Learned unity.

Never permitting
individual diversity
'true love' to hatefully
brotherhood
divide.

food, plus fashion,

history and pride.

'Keep on the Watch'

'Keep on the Watch'

"A pronouncement against Duʹmah:
Someone is calling out to me from Seʹir:

“Watchman, what of the night?
Watchman, what of the night?”

Where is this Dumah?

Found not in Seir,
also named Edom,

always to dear readers not perfectly clear.

Since, “Dumah” means “Silence.”
Should instill fear. Suggestive of a future.
Not contained will be Edom's fright.

Long a vindictive enemy of God’s people,
to end up silent—in death.

Her divinely prophesied finale
drew rapidly near.

The watchman said:
“The morning is coming,
and also the night."

A glimmer of a dawning
shown on the horizon,

brief, illusory.

Then Night—
another dark time of oppression—
quickly following on the heels of suns rising.

The Watchman's words:

"If you would inquire, inquire.
Come again!” to Jah.

Maybe, your practiced sins you can retire.

Yet, lest not forget
these enemies did incur death
after war inflicted acute and intense pain
without true mourners to in sympathy hear.

So often I find this history read

reminds me I must
myself, this soul I hold dear,

be whole in my service
reflecting on past judgements I regularly fed.

So as not to dally
or deflect to the rear.

Cowardice?... No, remember: be bold
to speak proven 'truth' as a 'watchman' who seeks
to warn the wicked or merely imperfect
he's admonished to reach.

Not to waver in earnest endeavors
to touch honest hearts.

Help deserving ones understand His love.
Not hinder it in others

but love also to enemies
in imitation of Christ
generously impart.

I return to what I read:
"For this is what Jehovah said to me:

“Go, post a lookout
and have him report what he sees.”

For a 'watchman' must call out to all!

Give the warning. Or welcome the grave.
If not permitting international residents
a life-saving message to heed.

Advise all they must:
"Keep awake, then,

all the time making supplication

in escaping all these things that must occur
and in standing before the Son of man."

The Day of Vengeance upon this earth,
on which humanity wobbly stands,

a majority of mankind a unnecessary tragedy
to undergo, while with endurance a "great crowd"

joyfully withstands.

The trustworthy watchman
will loyally proceed proclaiming this sound advice:

"Pay attention to yourselves that your hearts never become weighed down with overeating and heavy drinking

and anxieties of life,

and suddenly that day be instantly upon you
as a snare." Beware!

"For it will come upon all those dwelling on the face of the whole earth."

Yes,

"Keep on the watch, therefore,
because you do not know on what day your Lord is coming."

Though all indications of fulfilled prophecy maintains

—the overwhelming evidence that Christ is ruling in heaven; that he will soon bring an end to mankind’s long, dark night of alienation from God; and that thereafter he will usher in the true dawn, the Millennial Reign over a paradise earth!

Is At Hand!

A whole-souled watchman I am.
Not wanting to be stripped of my post.

O how tragic... eternal death as the price!

Determined to dispense 'good news'
while, announcing an impeding warning

a faithful 'soul' called as 'watchman' to duty,

although still daily cherished
as a 'lamb'.

A Heart Safeguarded

"Look!

I was born guilty of error,
And my mother conceived me in sin." A seed

planted in soil spoiled

dry; deficient in healing nutrients
designed to edify

thus strengthen and protect
tender seedlings

teeming with vermin.
Death dealing deemed.

Why prejudice or discrimination
plagues humanity

this straggling weed
squeezing tightly

a potential
fruit bearing sapling.

Bred, wickedness in racist's deeds
flourishing cruelty in extremes

from one's environ--

one's family inherited or selected.

How shall we root out pests
like hatred and prejudice

lodged in secret hides

wedged deeply
between nationalistic
or personal familial pride?

Shall not we first identify any invasive species offensive
then hack away or gently pry

to eradicate poisonous limbs
smothering loving breeds of budding florals
pleasing to senses

beauteous to appreciative eyes

graciously gathered in luxuriant gardens
not bordered by divisive confining fences?

Let's prune our vines of eroding finds.

Rinse thoroughly
by means of brotherly affection

hugs and kisses
to tingle international spines.

Impart

to young minds as through veins fed
by rain waters of 'truth'

not necessarily 'tradition'
led.

Remove plantings from deadening
shadowy teachings

confusing one's head.

Transplant to spaces
where brilliant rays of sun

sprout
tolerance of races

refining morals
more valuable

'as precious corals'
instead.

Yes,

For out of it are
the sources of life."

ready to share,

'Be Glad, You Nations'

Be glad, you nations,
with his people.”

For, the Almighty of our Universe!

Since,
"Is he not also the God of people of the nations?

Yes, also of people of the nations."

"Tell the righteous that it will go well for them;
They will be rewarded for what they do."

"Let the sea thunder and all that fills it,
The earth and those dwelling in it.

Scrolls were opened.—Rev. 20:12.
The Bible informs us that scrolls will be opened to give us directions in new world living. By studying these, all people, including resurrected ones, will be able to know God’s will for them. When Justice Comes Not Speedily

"Why, O Jehovah, do you stand at a distance?
Why do you hide yourself in times of distress?

The wicked one arrogantly pursues the helpless one,

But he will be caught in the schemes he devises.
For the wicked one boasts about his selfish desires
And blesses the greedy one;

He disrespects Jehovah.

In his haughtiness,
the wicked man makes no investigation;

All his thoughts are:
“There is no God.”

His ways keep prospering,

But your judgments are beyond his understanding;

He scoffs at all his adversaries.

He says in his heart:
“I will never be shaken;

For generation after generation
I will never see calamity.”"

So, "Because sentence against a bad deed
has not been executed speedily,

the heart of men
becomes emboldened
to do bad."

So sad.

This prevalent lack of accountability.

Yes, understandably said:

"Justice is driven back,
And righteousness stands far off;

For truth

has stumbled in the public square,
And what is upright is unable to enter.

Truth

has vanished,

And anyone who turns away from bad
is plundered.

Jehovah saw this and was displeased,

For there was no justice."

Caused, many to not to believe
a future prophecy
soon to bring meek ones relief

by a Government
Theocratically conceived.

"God's Kingdom Come."

Do not be deceived
so as to rally and sally forth.

"Do not avenge yourselves,
beloved,

but yield place to the wrath;

for it is written:

“‘Vengeance is mine;
I will repay,’ says Jehovah.”"

The jury composed of 144, 000 plus 1
already being selected.

The Judgement date firmly has been set.

All Evidence is being collected
based upon practiced actions
each one of every nation

daily consciously elects.

For as displayed in ancient past
Jah provides salvation for his loyal
based upon their righteous activities
which He keeps in heart and mind.

Seeing these honest-hearted ones
dutifully endeavoring to be refined

unlike a faithless nation
once arrogantly defined:

"But this people has a stubborn and rebellious heart;
They have turned aside and gone their own way.

And they do not say in their heart:
“Let us now fear Jehovah our God,

The One who gives the rain in its season,
Both the autumn rain and the spring rain,

The One who guards for us
the appointed weeks of the harvest.”

Your own errors have prevented these things from coming;
Your own sins have deprived you of what is good.

For among my people
there are wicked men.

They keep peering, as when birdcatchers crouch down.

They set a deadly trap.

It is men whom they catch.

Like a cage full of birds,
So their houses are full of deception.

That is why they have become powerful and rich.

They have grown fat and smooth;

They overflow with evil.

They do not plead the legal case of the fatherless,
That they may gain success;

And they deny justice to the poor.’”

“Should I not call them to account for these things?” declares Jehovah.

“Should I not avenge myself on such a nation?

Something appalling and horrible
has occurred in the land:

The prophets prophesy lies,

And the priests dominate by their own authority.
And my own people love it that way.

But what will you do when the end comes?”"

"the one who has endured
to the end
